Located at some 20-30-minutes’ drive away from the centre of Sofia, Pancharevo is one of the capital’s suburbs with a rustic feel. It is right beside Vitosha mountain. Since the middle of the 20th century this is the site of a large man-made lake popular with fans of fishing and water sports.

Archaeological studies have concluded that thermal water here has been in use since the times of the Roman Empire. According to a legend the Roman bath was built under the orders of Emperor Constantine the Great. The small settlement next to the bath used to be called Caesar’s Baths or Emperor’s Baths. During the Ottoman Empire the bath was famous with ordinary people and rich men alike. The hammam was amongst the most visited ones in the region of Sofia.

The water of the thermal spring is clear, colourless, odourless. The temperature is 49°C, there is weak overall mineralization. Levels of calcium and magnesium are high. The water is suitable for treatment of rheumatic, urological, gynecological and neurological diseases.

We offer you an opportunity to take a dip at a recently opened high end facility. It is located right by the Pancharevo lake and commands lovely views of it. The water used for the pools is thermal only, maintained at a temperature of 35-39°C depending on the season and climatic conditions. The facility has small capacity and cares for the peace and privacy of its guests.
